Heidi:

Heidi is a brilliant free-spirit, part fairy part mad scientist. She’s an authority in her field, and approaches students and collaborators with playfulness and kindness. She get’s a little crazy and is the queen of creating safe spaces to play and experiment. I’d love for her to come across as empowered and playful.

Kurt:

Kurt is a passionate collaborator (with a bohemian quirk that pairs with Heidi beautifully), who values empathy and agency. We want his photos to feel like an invitation - all should want to join in the energy he emits!

Together:

Vibrant. Playful. Kind. Joyful. A beautiful example of an ideal artistic collaboration. Let’s inspire some jealousy from the masses when we see the energy they exchange with each other! Both are especially moved by special objects that can be incorporated in subtle or not-so-subtle ways :)

TECHNICAL NEEDS

With both Heidi and Kurt, we will need a combination of more traditional close-in portraiture, as well as shots that are framed by the environment (from a web perspective, we are looking to use these in more of a banner context - due to responsive design, the more space around the subject, the better). It would also be great to get some shots that don’t have them in the frame (perhaps some of their treasured objects, musical scores, landscapes…) to fill out pages that need visual interest but are already overrun with photos of their lovely faces!
